The librarian’s
role in motivating language learners: tales from an Eastern Washington college
town
Librarian as the
facilitators for language learning is actually amazing. They can be a language
helper for the student learning activities. Using their expertise for providing
the windows of knowledge to the language learner, librarians can persuade
students to live in with the language in their daily basis. Second language
learning native language bring the role of psychological variables in their
language acquisition process. Library resource and interaction can give nice
impact in their motivation language learning.
Presenting the print, online material and media to promote the library
can give the significant effect. Their role as the selector of simulating
foreign language material, promoter of the library materials, and as motivator
to the student is the significant effect. Another effect is the cultural
exposures, using the collaborative learning to introduce another culture is the
way with the suitable and interesting material.
