Teenagers in
this era tend to avoid reading. They cannot fell the pleasure between a numbers
of beautiful sentences on a binding of papers.
MP3 Players, movies, and animation win all over it. Without struggle to
comprehend and enjoying the illustration of the author imagine without the use
of their ingenuity their motivation had been decreased and change. Using
graphic novel as a tool to boast their interest in reading with different
treatment. Student completed self-reporting reading log with their amount of
time for reading, list of the title of book, and their reaction also comment.
Using the log provide their vocabulary development became better than before
with their better understanding with the word. The Involvement of graphic novel
give them ways to improve, comprehend the specific format of book and having fun time can affected their better understanding. Provide access to graphic
novels in school library, integrate graphic novels with the curriculum, and
research about what the student category interest is one of several good way to
motivate them in reading.

Hi renastin! Yes, graphic has strenght to interest students in learning. Graphic helps ud to illustrate the story. However, how was the graphic included to the story? Was it included in every chapter or in specific page? Thank you, it gives me more insight about English teaching and learning :))

Your writing is interesting, because it is very unique to use comic in improving the students' reading comprehension. But, I think it is better for you to check the spelling and give it more details to make the readers understand your writing fully. Thank you for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteGreat writing, Renastin. I do agree that graphic like picture, animation, etc. can attract the student interest in reading activity. If I am not mistaken, this activity belongs to extensive reading, right? :D
