The 2nd Journal Summary

Vocabulary Learning Strategies and Foreign Language Acquisition

The authors begins with several factor that can impact positively or negatively of learning second language. The author stated that “incidental of learning of vocabulary is in efficient", the author showing how learning strategies match with another language theories acquisition. Some of them is cognitive theory which is capable of improving the learner’s vocabulary learning strategies. The authors then reports the use of vocabulary learning strategies by Croatian. 

The first study
     Goals is to make a test to measure the use of vocabulary learning strategies.

The second study
      Decided whether vocabulary teaching strategies can impact the learners. But the result is indicated that there is no impact between them.

The final study
       Analyzed the learners that there were many strategies used for both English learners and German. This fact can gives contributes that were many opportunities for incidental vocabulary acquisition.

As the result found the different by comparing English learners in most country today with other foreign language learners, does not prove how cross-linguistics different may impact the learners.
